Born to Canadian parents of Caribbean descent, Aisha grew up in Woodbridge, Ontario. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with specialized honours in Theatre from York University. She made her network television on Syfy’s 12 Monkeys and has since appeared in many network television and indie film projects. Her Short Film “Accidentals”, which she wrote, co - produced, and starred in (opposite "Orphan Black’s" Kevin Hanchard) is now touring the festival circuit and made its U.S. Premiere at Black Star Film Festival in Philadelphia. Past screenings include Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Fest, Cinemuskoka, Caribbean Tales, Montreal Black Film Festival, and many more. Accidental’s will make it’s last stop for the year at The Bahamas International Film Festival, Listed as Movie Maker’s 2018 Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the world
Recent appearances include the Canadian Premiere of Sarah DeLappe’s critically acclaimed Play “The Wolves” produced by The Howland Company at The Streetcar Crow’s Nest Theatre. Now, Aisha is currently a resident of the Toronto ACTRA Women’s Committee Short Film Script lab where she is currently in preproduction for her Short Film, Shoe Gazer. Aisha Evelyna now resides in Toronto, adores donuts, and looooves a good a HiT training session. #SquatsFoLyfe
